What is Included in the Ford Warranty?

Ford Protect Extended Service Plans

Your new Ford comes with a 3-year/36,000-mile Ford factory warranty and 5-year/60,000-mile powertrain warranty, but after those expire, you’ll need to invest in an extended warranty.

Guam drivers can choose between four available Ford Protect Extended Service Plans, each one building upon the former with additional coverage:

• PowertrainCARE: This entry level plan covers 29 components within the engine, transmission, RWD, and FWD. All the major components are covered, though there are a few exemptions. For example, the radiator is not covered for the engine and bearings are not covered with the RWD and FWD.
• BaseCARE: The BaseCARE Service Plan bumps you up to 84 covered components, including all the PowertrainCARE plan components plus steering, brakes, front suspension, A/C and heating, and electrical components. There are still exemptions from this plan, such as the anti-lock brake module. 
• ExtraCARE: If you get frustrated by technology fails in Palau, the ExtraCARE plan may be for you. This plan boasts 113 covered components, including everything above plus tech and convenience features coverage, such as power window motors and keyless entry. More advanced technologies like Ford SYNC® or rain sensing wipers are not included.
• PremiumCARE: For ultimate Ford warranty coverage, choose the PremiumCARE plan, which protects over 1,000 components of your vehicle. Anything not covered in the previous plans is covered here, so you can drive with total confidence in Federated States of Micronesia.

Ford Protect Premium Maintenance Plan

In addition to Ford extended warranties, the Ford Premium Maintenance plan covers the crucial elements of your routine maintenance, including oil changes, filter replacements, tire rotations, and multi-point inspections. You’ll also be able to replace parts that have endured normal wear and tear. Taking care of your Ford will help extend its life and performance, so scheduling service on a regular basis will save you time and money in the long run.
